We've been going here for 30 years. The owner is kind and the service is good. The food is fresh and tasty. If you are interested in Chinese food, this is the spot in Denver.

I've been eating here for years. They have really great food and the prices are average. I worked a a Chinese restaurant for a couple of years and know good Chinese food. The food here is good Chinese food. One of the best indicators of a good Chinese restaurant is the quality of the hot-and-sour soup and these guys serve some of the best that i have every had, plenty of white pepper and vinegar give it that telltale taste H&S should have. the eggs rolls are small crunchy delights. I order take out about once, order three entrees and an extra pint of rice. I have a pig out and then eat the leftovers for lunch for the rest of the weeks. When I do eat in the service is good considering that there are usually only 2 waitresses. I like to order the Mongolian beef, Kung Pao Triple Delight, and the Shrimp Egg Foo Young all of which are very good. As always please remember to tip your waitress and I you get delivery, the delivery guy.....remember that they don't qualify for minimum wage and rely on tips.

Pretty good take out! They renovated the place, and it's an upgrade to what it was before... But very casual.

I really don't understand the low rating. This is the only Chinese restaurant that I REALLY like. I've been coming here since I was a child and the food is always the same (as in they never try to "improve" their recipes). I almost always get the Mongolian Beef which is never fatty or overly spicy. And I don't know what they do differently, but they have the best fried rice I've ever tasted. And I really enjoy chatting with the staff when they aren't busy.

This has been our go to Chinese food for the past 15 yrs. Can't speak much for the buffet, 'cause we always go there for dinner. Wendy and staff are great with remembering your order. Mongolian beef is the best I've ever eaten and all chicken dishes are just fantastic. This is our benchmark for other Chinese restaurants in the area!

I used to love this place. They are really cutting corners now, which makes their food less enjoyable. The fried rice no longer comes with peas and carrots or egg. The egg drop soup is lacking vegetables and tofu. The chicken with vegetables only few varieties of vegetsbles, hardly my idea of a dish centered around vegetables. Where are the bamboo shoots and mushrooms? Baby corn and onions? Oh, one more thing, the egg rolls only had cabbage. Come on! I must say, this is no longer one of my favorites.

I always order delivery from here and get the Pu Pu platter, usually an order of Crab Cheese Wontons and/or the Mongolian Beef. The delivery times are usually fairly reasonable (around 20 mins) and the food is simply Delish. Probably one of the best Chinese food places around. They have a spot in my contacts list.

Have been going to New Canton for at least 20 years and while I have noticed some change, I have always LOVED this place! Awesome flavor and the owner is amazing!

Got some take out chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, hot sour soup. Portions were good size, price is normal compares to other Chinese places around, lots of meat with the broccoli. Fast service, place looked clean on the inside and the staff was very friendly. Will be back!

Given that New Canton is an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet in a strip mall, I wasn't walking in expecting a world culinary masterpieces. Unfortunately, my low hopes were not met. New Canton starts is buffet on the dessert side. Perhaps that's to suggest that you get your meal over with quickly, because whatever oil they used to fry almost everything on the buffet had been in their deep fryer long enough for Exxon to start exploring it. You know that taste of really bad, old, deep fryer oil, where everything has that same musty taste? That's the taste that is New Canton. Insofar as New Canton Restaurant has repeat customers, the people of Wheat Ridge have bad taste.

Okay, I guess. I had better over at my usual spot, Li's in Westminster. Food was decent if not overly fried. Kung Pao chicken had strange after taste to it - like it was spoiled. Didn't get sick, though, so it must be safe. Classic Chinese style they serve soft drinks right out of the can. Friendly staff though. Not my favorite of the area.

They stuck their menu on my door, so in a moment of laziness, I called for delivery. The good: They're cheap. $18 including tip got me Shrimp with Garlic Sauce, Chicken Curry, white rice, fried rice, 2 wontons, 2 egg rolls and hot & sour soup. The bad: The food. I was pretty sure Thai Basil has cornered the market on bad hot & sour soup. I was wrong. Bleh. The shrimp with garlic sauce & wontons were ok. But, the chicken curry was not. Also, I did not know it was possible to make bland fried rice. Honestly, if Panda delivered, I would order from there over this place. But, I can't say that in my laziness I won't call again. The menu isn't going in the trash, but I'll prob stick to the shrimp with garlic sauce and white rice.

This place is Wheat Ridge's best kept secret. The service is impeccable, they memorize your entire order if you come in and order similar things more than once. They are reasonably priced but serve fresh ingredients, expertly prepared. We are vegans and they are super nice about customizing our dishes. My omni in-laws have been going here for years and won't eat Chinese food any where else.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
